Once at Operación Triunfo's Academy, Virginia was nicknamed as 'la Niña Azul' ('the Blue Girl') after her deep blue eyes and delicate figure. Therefore, her fans are named 'la Marea Azul' ('the Blue Tide') as Virgina got massive response from the audience. A few weeks from the end of the constest, she is one of the finalists.
