Susanne SundfÃ¸r is a Norwegian singer/songwriter who was born and grew up in Haugesund, Norway. She currently lives and studies in Bergen. She has played several gigs in Oslo and Haugesund as well as a concert in 2005 with Tom McRae. In february 2006 she was featured in the Norwegian music business festival by :Larm in TromsÃ¸.

Susanne SundfÃ¸r masters both jazz and classical music, and she has developed her own musical style with elements from both these genres. She is often compared to songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Carole King. SundfÃ¸r is also inspired by Jeff Buckley, Radka Toneff, Ane Brun and Thomas Dybdahl.

Her lyrics often deals with personal subject matters such as "Africa, America", "Time out, time", "It's all gone tomorrow" or contemporary issues ("Opium").

In march 2007 she released her self-titled album "Susanne SundfÃ¸r", which received great reviews.

She won the prize for "best female vocalist" at Spellemannsprisen 2008, and was also nominated for the category of "year's newcomer".

SundfÃ¸r's second album is entitled "The Brothel", and was released on March 15, 2010. The first single, which is also the title track, premiered on Norwegian radios on January 28th 2010.
